IAN

.For over 40 years as international cabin crew, I connected with people from every walk of life, learning the power of empathy, patience, and genuine human connection—especially in times of vulnerability.

Beyond professional skills, I bring something equally valuable: lived experience. At this stage of life, I've walked through many forms of grief—losing loved ones, navigating endings, and facing transitions that felt like small deaths. These losses haven't diminished me; they've deepened my capacity to sit with others in their pain without trying to fix or rush them.

Those years taught me to read unspoken pain, stay calm when emotions run high, and create safety in uncertain moments. When it was time for a new chapter, I chose to deepen this work by retraining as a Person-Centred Counsellor specialising in grief.

I learned that people are remarkably resilient, and that sometimes what matters most in grief is simply being present—bearing witness without judgment.

Today, I provide a safe, empathetic space where people navigating loss are heard, valued, and gently supported to find their own way forward, in their own time.
